Dave Sawyer
Dave Sawyer is a Boston-area actor, comedian, teacher, and professional web smarty-pants.
He has performed at comedy festivals around the U.S. including the San Francisco Improv Festival, The Chicago Improv Festival, Out of Bounds Festival (Austin), The Spontaneous Combustion Festival (Atlanta), and the Providence Improv Festival. Dave's international festival appearances include the Tokyo Impro Festival, the Vancouver Improv Festival, and the ImproSport Festival in Puerto Rico where he performed in spanish alongside competing acts from Mexico, South America, and Spain.
His two-man sketch show - Sawyer & Hurley - has been featured at the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Philly SketchFest, the Boston Improv Festival, and ImprovBoston's GeekWeek Festival.
Today, you can catch him on Saturday nights at ImprovBoston where he is a member of the Mainstage cast. He also teaches improv and comedy writing at ImprovBoston and makes improvised movies with Neutrino.
Past sketch comedy credits include The Ruckus (ImprovBoston), Off Book (ImprovBoston Showcase), The Uncommonwealth, Comedy Bronze (Tribe Theater), The Tijuana Bible Beaters in Boston, and The Troubled Shores Comedy Lab on Martha's Vineyard.
Dave is a longtime freelance web developer, a Tennessee Squire, an associate member of the Society of American Magicians, and a graduate of the Second City Conservatory.
